This website is a wiki for members of The American Physiological Society. APS members are encouraged to use this dynamic online resource for authoring, aggregating, organizing, and sharing content related to the science of physiology.
The ultimate goal of this project is to become the online destination for all matters related to physiology, and to foster public interest in the science with the latest information vetted by the world's leading physiologists, our members.
The APS envisions two areas in which this wiki will benefit not only members, but also the public at large:
Glossary of Physiology - An online resource for APS members and the public that defines and explains the terminology of the science.
Member Collaboration - A resource APS members can use to discuss and collaborate on issues related to the business of The American Physiological Society and on topics that are important to physiology in general. APS members will be able to organize their own groups themselves and participate in projects that pique their interest. Examples include APS Committees, educational resources, specialized areas of science, regional networks, and more. These areas will not be visible to the public, and wiki moderators can create areas that are only visible to specific groups.
